Television Motion graphics design by Dan Sollis for Tundra*. Agency: Stream (TBWA). Date of work: 2008
I created the title sequence and other supplementary graphics for the Nissan/Sony endorsed TV series “GT Academy” in which PS3 Gran Turismo players could take part in a contest to become real race drivers – eventually competing in an actual race.
The helmet elements were built in 3D using Newtek’s Lightwave3D and layered with a dense collage of imagery culled from the game and shot footage. I used multi-pass reflection maps to create the final look along with healthy doses of camera shake, film burns and lense flares!
